One of the most stressful and sometimes painful times in a woman's life is during and after pregnancy, when her body undergoes a number of changes in order to carry and give birth to a child. Prenatal and Postnatal Massage is specifically designed for women who are pregnant or new mothers. Differences from regular massage include working with you in more comfortable positions, such as side-lying; as well as using techniques and precautions specific to the changes your body goes through during and after pregnancy. Massage therapy, in conjunction with consultation with your prenatal care provider, has been demonstrated to have improved pregnancies and result in better maternal outcomes. You can get a massages at any point in your pregnancy, with the approval of your prenatal care provider.
