At Alleviate we believe that a proper knowledge of one’s body and health is the best way to achieve results. Stress, pain and injuries come in many forms and may require different type of treatment.
On your first visit to Alleviate, we will complete a detailed assessment before we begin treatment. We will ask you to complete an intake form with a health history to collect information about your current condition so we can set treatment goals based on your primary problem and concerns.
Before beginning treatment, your therapist may perform additional observations and testing. These include observing your gait and posture, conducting range of motion tests or orthopedic tests to further analyze the cause of your current condition, and examining your area of discomfort to ensure that the massage techniques we use will be safe and effective. This intake process allows us to develop a treatment plan that is specific to your condition and treatment goals.
Our therapists are trained in a number of massage and healing modalities in order to be able to provide you treatments specific to your condition as well as work with your preferences. Each of our therapists has their own focus in their practice. Having therapists with different training and experience allows our clients to choose the practitioner that is right for them. You may find that the best therapist for you may change, depending on your current massage therapy needs, whether it is rehabilitation or relaxation.
